The vest style sets your logo space and how the garment wears on site. We help you pick a style, then confirm the print area before we quote.
Mesh vests breathe better in summer heat. Solid-fabric vests block wind and hold up on rough jobs. Fluorescent yellow-green and orange are the usual colors. Stock varies by style.
Pockets hold radios, markers, and phones. Surveyor and two-tone vests add storage and a darker lower band. Pockets and zippers take up print space, so we check the layout first.
Most styles come in a wide size range. Class 2 and Class 3 vests carry different amounts of reflective and background material. We confirm what is orderable for your style before we quote.
Safety vest style comparison
| Style | Best for | Check before you order |
|---|---|---|
| Mesh vest | Summer work, general jobsites | Print area around reflective tape |
| Solid-fabric vest | Wind, cool weather, rough use | Fabric type and ink fit |
| Vest with pockets | Crews carrying radios and tools | Pocket and zipper position |
| Surveyor or two-tone vest | Surveyors, inspectors, supervisors | Class and tape layout |
Style availability changes with supplier stock. We confirm what is orderable when you request a quote.

Your logo does the identifying. Placement and artwork quality decide how well it reads from across a jobsite.
Most crews print a company logo on the left chest and a larger version on the back. Some add a business name, phone number, or crew number. Simple, bold artwork reads best from a distance.
Reflective tape, pockets, and closures decide where ink goes. We check the layout against your vest before we print. Send photos of your vest style if you already own one.
Send a vector file when you have one. Clear images work too, and our art team prepares your logo for printing. Steve Deland, our art director, brings 40+ years of experience. You approve a digital proof before production starts.
Screen printing suits repeat logos and larger crew orders. We run every job in-house at our Milton shop.
Screen printing pushes ink through a mesh stencil onto the fabric, one color at a time. Each color needs its own screen. Setup cost spreads across more vests, so larger runs lower the cost per piece. See all of our screen printing services.
Printing suits simple logos in a few colors. Detailed full-color artwork or a tiny order sometimes fits another method better. Some vest fabrics also resist ink. We review your vest and tell you before we accept the order. Ready to see how your logo will look?
Start with your site rules, then match the garment. Your safety manager, general contractor, or employer sets the required class.
Check your project safety plan before you pick a class. Match the vest to the actual hazard on your site. Mesh and solid styles both suit general crew work.
Crews near moving vehicles often face stricter visibility rules. Class 3 vests carry more reflective material than Class 2. Confirm the class your employer or agency requires.
Warehouse teams and event staff often need clear identification more than road-rated gear. A parking volunteer and a flagger do not need the same vest. Pick the garment for the real hazard.
ANSI/ISEA 107 is the industry standard for high-visibility apparel. Garments built to it carry a label showing type and class. Check the label, not the sales page. For rule detail, read our Washington high-visibility workwear requirements. For the standard itself, see this industry standard overview.
Decoration must never block the features that make a vest high-visibility. Reflective logo placement is a safety decision first and a branding decision second.
Reflective tape and fluorescent background fabric do the safety work. Ink over either sometimes reduces visibility. We place logos on open background areas and keep clear of the tape.
WAC 296-155-200 covers high-visibility garments for workers near moving vehicles. It sets different requirements for daylight and hours of darkness. Read the current rule text before you set a policy, since rules get amended.
Adding a logo does not make a vest compliant. The garment label and your site rules decide.
Some crews need reflective stripes added to a garment, not a finished branded vest. That is a different job. See our custom safety stripe printing page to find the right fit.
Contractors, subcontractors, and site visitors all need matching vests. We handle mixed sizes and one logo across the whole order.
Five details set your price. Send all five and we reply with a recommended style and a quote.

Exceptional prices and great customer service. My work had us come in here to try on some jackets and hats. Noticed they make embroided patches too! Very nice quality productsPosted on Google![]()

We have used Northwest Customs for 2-3 years now at Special Services Landscaping for hats, hoodies and uniforms. We have used the embroidery and the heat press and both have lasted and are stuff we still use today. Great company couldn’t recommend more.Posted on Google![]()

Unacceptable service and zero accountability. From one small business to another. We are incredibly disappointed with our experience here. I placed a large order worth over $1,200.00 for custom gear. This company already had our official logo and color specifications on hand, so there was absolutely no reason for this mistake. Despite having the correct assets, they completely messed up the final product. When they dropped us the product our Rep even stated... Oh this is wrong, don't worry you don't have to pay for the stitching. We asked what about our damaged gear? She said there is nothing they can do. So when we reached out to resolve the issue, management refused to take responsibility and flatly stated there was "nothing they could do." It is completely wrong that they ruined our gear and our hard-earned money for a botched order and then offer zero solutions. Save your money and take your business elsewhere. They obviously do not stand behind their work and have zero regard for customer service.Posted on Google![]()

We use NW custom for our program, their embroidery done in-house is very well done, identical to the proof of concept. The response time is great when making adjustments to the e-store or when working through third parties for patches. I’d recommend them for any size program!Posted on Google![]()
